What will I learn at the Instructor Training Workshop?

Each workshop features different tracks of learning, focusing on different Healthy Respect student and parenting programs. The tracks covered will depend upon the program you wish to implement. In general, each track helps you to:

  • gain a deeper knowledge of the program
  • improve presentation skills
  • exchange ideas

What do I get?

  • 3 full days of training
  • a video of your mock LTW presentation to help you hone your skills
  • DVD and PowerPoint presentations for activities
  • Instructor Tool Kit

Who should attend the Instructor Training Workshop?

Teachers, social workers, counselors, pastors, military personnel, corrections officers, psychologists, youth leaders.  A wide variety of professionals with similar goals enriches everyone’s learning experience.

What will I learn at the Training of Trainers Workshop?

Each workshop focuses the needs of your population. Trainers will develop the skills necessary to assist members of your organization in becoming competent facilitators of the Healthy Respect student and parenting programs. In general, you will hone the skills needed to enable facilitators to:

  1. gain a deeper knowledge of the program
  2. learn how to train leaders in the program
  3. improve presentation skills
  4. find ways to make the programs fit your audience
  5. exchange ideas

What do I get?

  • 2 full days of training
  • a video of your mock Training of Trainers presentation to help you hone your skills
  • PowerPoint presentations for activities
  • Training Manual
  • be able to conduct Healthy Respect Instructor Training Workshops (after certification) be authorized to provide certification to new leaders

Who should attend the Training of Trainers Workshop?

The TOT is reserved for those with a background in education or public health in order to ensure that instructors can be trained to deliver the Healthy respect Program with fidelity to the original design.
